Partners, Groups, and Teams

Because Real Connection Can’t Be Forced

A lot of group experiences ask people to interact without ever really helping them feel connected.

So everyone participates.
Everyone says the right things.
Everyone technically “shows up.”

But underneath it all?

People are still guarded.
Still performing.
Still misunderstood.
Still carrying things no one quite knows how to talk about.

I offer something different.

Not forced vulnerability.
Not corporate “fun.”
Not another personality workshop where people leave with color-coded labels and nothing actually changes.

This is about creating the kind of space where people can relax enough to become more human with each other again.

And surprisingly often… that’s where the meaningful shifts happen.

What This Is (and what it isn’t)

This isn’t about fixing your team. And it’s not about making everyone the same.

Every group develops its own rhythm. The session is about creating enough safety, honesty, humor, curiosity, and structure that people can stop performing for a minute and actually connect.

Sometimes that looks like laughter, sometimes it looks like recognition, and sometimes it’s simply a subtle shift in how people understand each other. No one is forced to be vulnerable or pretend to be deeply transformed by the end of the session. When people stop feeling pressured to connect, genuine connection tends to happen naturally and people often communicate differently afterwards. They become more generous with each other, more understanding of differences, more aware of hidden strengths, more able to work, relate, and connect without so much friction.

How I Facilitate

My background as a chaplain deeply shapes the way I lead groups. I pay attention to what’s happening beneath the surface and notice:

  • who is quietly carrying too much

  • who needs more time before speaking

  • when humor is protecting something tender

  • when people are afraid of saying the wrong thing

  • when a group is waiting for permission to exhale

  • when someone has spent years feeling misunderstood

I know how to create just enough structure for people to relax into something more real—not forced, not emotionally performative or heavy, just deeply human. People often leave feeling lighter, more connected, more understood, and surprisingly relieved.

The Role of the Tools

Sometimes I use reflective tools like personality frameworks, Human Design, or the Success Codex to spark conversation and help people see themselves and each other differently.

Not because anyone needs to “believe in” a system, but because sometimes a simple framework gives people language for things they’ve sensed for years but never quite known how to articulate. The tools are never the point—the human connection is.

People start noticing things like:

  • who naturally keeps everyone grounded

  • who brings humor at exactly the right moment

  • who quietly carries more than others realize

  • who needs reflection time before responding

  • who has strengths the group has overlooked

  • who has been misunderstood for years

And suddenly people begin relating to each other with more compassion, curiosity, honesty, and ease.

Who This Is For

  • Work teams tired of surface-level team building

  • Couples or friend groups wanting deeper understanding

  • Church groups, book clubs, neighborhoods, and communities looking for meaningful shared experiences

  • Caregiving or helping-profession groups navigating stress and emotional exhaustion

  • Leadership groups wanting more humanity and less performance

  • Any group longing for more honest, connected interaction without forced vulnerability

Pricing

Group experiences begin at $150, with an additional $10 – $25 per participant.

Every group has its own personality, needs, and energy, so I’m happy to shape to something that feels like the right fit.

What People Walk Away With

  • A clearer understanding of themselves and each other

  • More compassion for differences

  • A shared language for navigating communication styles and patterns

  • Greater ease and honesty within the group

  • A stronger sense of connection without forced intimacy

  • More appreciation for the gifts people naturally bring

Delightful revelations tend to surface: like who turns out to be unexpectedly hilarious, quietly wise, deeply grounding, or carrying more emotional labor than anyone realized.

The Heart of It

Every group already has its own wisdom, humor, tension, strengths, and emotional rhythm.

I pay attention to where the energy already lives—what makes people light up, laugh, soften, reflect, feel included, or suddenly see each other differently—and help those sparks grow.

The result is never identical, but it is almost always memorable and often far more meaningful than people expected when they first walked in.

What Do People Say?

I think Sharon did an amazing job giving us an insight of ourselves and helping us understand what we bring to the table…I felt like it made a great team building exercise because it was fun, interactive and informative.
